GE Oil & Gas was a division of General Electric focused on the petroleum industry, providing a wide range of equipment, technologies, and services for oil and gas exploration, production, and processing. Headquartered in London, it employed around 37,000 to 39,000 people and served customers in over 140 countries. In 2015, the division generated approximately $16.5 billion in revenue.
The company offered a comprehensive portfolio that included drilling equipment, subsea and offshore solutions, gas and oil processing technologies, and refinery equipment. It also provided pipeline and storage solutions, as well as industrial electricity generation technologies. GE Oil & Gas emphasized innovation by integrating physical and digital technologies to enhance operational efficiency and safety. In July 2017, it merged with Baker Hughes, forming Baker Hughes, a GE company, to better address the evolving needs of the oil and gas sector.
